Emily and Laura celebrated their Cornerstone Sonoma wedding among a supportive and loving community of family and friends. The gardens are full of creative and colorful sculptures, which served as the backdrop for our photowalk around the property. Emily and Laura were so connected, so playful and so excited to be taking pictures, that we were able to accomplish a great deal. At one moment, as we walked around the property, the idea struck me to create a photograph with a couple of particularly photogenic gardeners working nearby. It helped that Laura is a fluent Spanish speaker, and so between the two of us we were able to explain to the workers what they needed to do. The entire feel of the day was wonderfully relaxed – just like a wedding in the wine country should be. Leslie Struble of Dandelion Events made sure things ran smoothly, and the Cornerstone Sonoma team did an impeccable job. I am so grateful to the brides for all their energy and creativity, and to their community for allowing me to move freely among them and capture these memories. As the inscriptions on the brides’ wedding rings say, I hope that the memories last “Forever and ever, and then some.”
