Westin St Francis Wedding
Let me tell you about this Westin St Francis wedding. The wedding venue you choose will define a lot of things about your wedding day. The views. The scenery. The service. The experience of the guests. When I documented Nina and Guy’s Westin St Francis wedding, I wanted to capture just how spectacular it all was.
The views were incredible, both from the guest suite and from the main ballrooms on the 32nd Floor. The details were beautiful and meticulously arranged.
What I was struck by most? Nina and Guy were such an easygoing, humble, smitten couple. There was just something so… light and gentle about them. It was amazing to see their ceremony, light filtering through the 32nd Floor windows, the gleaming city below.
Westin St Francis Wedding: Focus on the Details
So much work went into crafting this gorgeous wedding. I always find an opportunity to capture the ceremony and reception details before the guests arrive. I love to look behind the scenes and capture the people that bring the day to life. The gorgeous flowers, the perfectly arranged table settings, the meticulously spaced escort cards. One of my favorite things was the dessert table, which stood in the foreground of a spectacular San Francisco view. This kind of visual magic is only possible at a Westin St Francis wedding.
Cable Cars and Union Square
The couple and I didn’t have to go far to capture some memorable creative shots. From the famous Union Square Heart, to the frequent cable cars rattling up and down Powell Street, we had plenty of iconic San Francisco details to work with. One of my favorite photos was the shot of Nina and Guy looking all GQ with the Westin St. Francis in the background.
A Community of Family and Friends
The was so much space in the ballroom. An expansive dance floor is the perfect unspoken invitation for people to come and party. Nina and Guy invited many of their med school classmates to their wedding, and this huge group of young people mingled with the excited family members on the dance floor. The energy was amazing! Nina and Guy were hoisted in chairs during the traditional Jewish wedding horah dance. The dance floor was packed. It was almost impossible to persuade guests to go back to their tables for the meal.
