Sofia and Victor chose to have a Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay wedding because it’s one of the Bay Area’s most iconic venues.
The courtyard and the view from the cliffs is unmistakable. The luxury and service of the hotel are unparalleled. Sofia and Victor’s wedding was all blue skies and open spaces. And I’m not surprised. Turns out the couple are both avid skydivers!
Their wedding day was full of beauty: Gorgeous florals, impeccable outfits, lissome bridesmaids and dapper groomsmen. The ceremony was very emotional. When Sofia’s father walked her down the aisle, he couldn’t contain his tears. There were a lot more tears when the couple exchanged their cards to one another, as well as the vows. But there was laughter too. Especially during the speeches and games at the reception.
I loved all the details at this wedding. One of the most unforgettable was that each guests received a custom “Wedding Day Post” newspaper before the ceremony. The newspaper had cute articles and anecdotes about the couple, and was a great way to keep the guests entertained as they waited for the ceremony to begin.
I documented a wedding at the Ritz Carlton in Lake Tahoe as well as a wedding at the Ritz Carlton in San Francisco, and the experience at Half Moon Bay was just as fantastic. I loved the way the staff coordinated their dinner service, and the way the white gloves make it feel special. There’s a sign that hangs in the staff area that says “We are ladies and gentlemen, serving ladies and gentlemen.”
