Boulder Ridge Golf Club Wedding
Wow. What an amazing experience at Marilou and Jonathan’s Boulder Ridge Golf Club wedding!
I arrived at the main golf course building, and a courteous shuttle driver ferried me quickly up the hill to the Pavilion Event Center. The wedding ceremony site was breathtaking. The sweeping views extended in almost all directions. As the guests took their seats, a gentle warm breeze ruffled dresses and ribbons.
Boulder Ridge Golf Club Wedding Ceremony
I speak to many couples that are in the process of planning their wedding day. The experience of their guests is always a priority. The Boulder Ridge ceremony space seems designed with this in mind. Once Marilou and Jonathan were standing under the wedding arbor, the view behind them was breathtaking. The ceremony was elegant. The couple read emotional vows to one another, after which Marilou’s children came up for a meaningful family bonding moment. Once they were pronounced husband and wife, all the pent-up emotion burst forth. Marilou had her bouquet triumphantly in the air, and a massive smile on her face. The bouquet, by the way, was imbued with a lot of meaning. Marilou had attached a small photograph of her father to the stems.
The Incredible Light at the Boulder Ridge Golf Club Wedding
I appreciated a lot of things about this couple’s wedding day. Jonathan is British, and I loved seeing the fancy hats worn by the women on his side. I took in the gracious speeches friends and family made about the couple. It was interesting to learn that Jonathan is a master squash player and instructor. In fact, there was a huge contingent of squash buddies at the event. Friends and family said many kind words about the couple’s courtship.
One of my favorite things, however, was watching the light evolve beautifully throughout the evening. As the sun set in the hills, it turned red, painting the entire valley with gorgeous, burnt colors. I took every opportunity to steal the couple away for creative shots. At a certain point, other guests followed our lead and snuck out of the building to take their own sunset photos.
There’s this gorgeous tree, with beautiful lights. As it got dark, the lights twinkled and enticed us to take more photographs. A couple of my favorite shots with this tree came at the very end of the evening. I want to wish a huge congratulations to Marilou and Jonathan on their new life together. Thank you for the opportunity to document your Boulder Ridge Golf Club wedding!
