Fairmont San Francisco Wedding
Before I talk about this Fairmont San Francisco wedding, let me say this: 2012 has been an incredible year. I have had the privilege of documenting so many wonderful wedding days. Michelle and David brought their families together for an intimate Jewish wedding ceremony at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco. The Fairmont is one of San Francisco’s most iconic venues. It’s instantly recognizable, perched atop Mason and California Streets in Nob Hill. The hotel greets guests with fluttering international flags, and an expansive lobby. David and Michelle had many options at the Fairmont. They decided to have an intimate wedding, and so they chose the Penthouse Suite to accommodate the chuppah and the celebration. It should be noted that Michelle and David initially eloped at the Rock of Gibraltar, overlooking the Mediterranean sea. So it was only fitting that their big wedding day also had a beautiful view.

On 12/12/12, in San Francisco’s stratosphere, they committed to each other in front of their families. The chuppah was placed inside the main room at the Penthouse suite. Just outside, the San Francisco skyline glittered in the December night. They exchanged rings and David broke the glass surrounded by family and friends. Guests enjoyed a fabulous rooftop dinner. Afterward, it was a spirited celebration. There was an awesome Hora, and even karaoke, compliments of the grand piano in the suite. The bouquet and a garter toss were unlike any others I’ve ever seen. They were literally thrown from the the rafters of the library room. Michelle looked absolutely stunning in each of her two gowns. You can see them in the photos below, juxtaposed against the Moroccan walls. David looked dapper, and was beaming the whole night. And why not? The evening was a joyous success! On a personal note, this was a very special evening for me: Michelle and David invited me to sign their beautiful Ketubah as one of the witnesses. What an honor.
