Bently Reserve Wedding Photography
The Bently Reserve is an iconic wedding location in San Francisco’s financial district. It’s a spectacular venue, and it’s surrounded by the many other photographic opportunities in downtown. Skylines, staircases, urban buzz. Once inside, the Bently provides arguably the grandest classical indoor space in the city. With grand columns on either side, dramatic ceilings and staircases, it’s commands attention. One of the challenges of Bently Reserve wedding photography is simply the huge scope of the building. A building this big needs to be filled with guests and decor. It needs uplights and the right audio system to do it justice. It needs a good wedding planner to guide the event and shepherd the guests through the evening. It needs a photographer with great command of how to capture the space and how to provide the best indoor lighting.

Armina and Ali fell madly in love, and then they hatched a plan: Elope in Hawaii, then throw a big, huge party in San Francisco. That’s exactly what they did, and they invited me to provide their Bently Reserve Wedding Photography. To host their party, they rented out the Bently Reserve, decorated it to the nines, filled it with an unbelievable cornucopia of fruits, buffet dishes, desserts, big a** speakers, and a few hundred immaculately dressed revelers. Beheshteh Varasteh (varastehb[at]yahoo.com) served as the couple’s event designer and wedding planner. They invited me to document it all, and to create some iconic urban portraits around the Embarcadero and Financial District. The couple looked absolutely gorgeous. Wouldn’t you agree? By bringing everyone together, they took the opportunity to share their Hawaiian wedding memories, and to express their gratitude to the community surrounding them. The Persian dance tunes were pumping, and the crowd packed the dance floor ALL night. Great success! p.s. Persian dance music rocks. I told them I was stealing their playlist.
